The main gallery has exhibits from the war, including items from the Berlin Airlift, the Bay of Pigs, the Cuban Missile crisis, the USS Liberty, the U-2 Incident, and the USS Pueblo. 3. Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center
The Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center is dedicated to the preservation of local history. The building that houses the center is a school built in 1873. Visitors can take walking tours through Historic Fairfax during the Fall and Spring to see sites like the Ford House and the Fairfax County Courthouse.
4. Fairfax Station Railroad Museum
Railroad Museum provides visitors with a chance to go back in time and learn about the railroad's contribution to northern Virginia's economic growth. It was completed in 1854 and became a center for the local community and played a significant role in the Civil War. The museum has several activities and displays to help preserve local history and promote the railroad.
5. Victoria's Cakery
Your Fairfax Visit is not complete without visiting Victoria's Cakery, which was established in 1984 and stocks the best cakes, desserts, and bread. It is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. On Saturdays, they open from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
6. Blenheim
Blenheim is a Brick farm House built in 1859, right before the beginning of the Civil war. It is popular because of the large variety of inscriptions from the civil war. These include more than 122 signatures, games, thoughts, and pictograms left on the walls by Union Soldiers between 1862 and 1863.
